"Moody", you'll truly be missed. I still remember coming to the Police Academy and seeing this bright smiling "kid", only quickly to realize that you were so much more mature than your years; thinking to myself "this guy has "IT." I always hoped you'd come work at WCPD, knowing from your personality and attitude that you'd become a great Officer. Even moreso, after reading more and more about you, do I realize that you became much more than just a great cop. It's ironic having felt the tap on my shoulder at Starzyk's funeral, and turning to see you there. I'll cherish the short time at the Academy we shared, and the few minutes we were able to talk just a few weeks ago after walking out of the Pavilion.
To the fellow officers at RPD, you truly were blessed with a great officer and a great person. May his spirit forever watch over you and keep you all safe.
Brad, you'll forever be missed and never forgotten.
God Bless you and your family,
Your 143rd academy mate, Bryan Vevera

Never met him. Became familiar with his story at work today. Clearly a hero to the end as is evident in his choice of donating life to those in need. Selfless. An honor to call him a brother. Condolences to his friends, and family. May your slumber be peaceful.

I got to work and hang out with Brad back when we were both Policed Aides at SCC. What a fun guy to hang out with. I know Brad was "living the dream" being a K-9 Officer and on SWAT in Richmond. Brad was the kind of guy we all wanted to be like, and he was so nice that no one could ever hate on him.
I haven't talked to Brad for years, but every so often my thoughts would turn to him. I would often wonder what he was up to and how he was doing and somehow knew that he was probably doing great. Some people leave that kind of impression on you, Brad was just kind of guy.
Brad you are missed, May God bless you and your family.

Rest in Peace Brad.......I'm sure you will be missed by many. I still remember your big goofy smile....that smile that could light up the world.
To the family (RPD and other), my sincerest prayers are with you. "We sometimes focus on what a person isn't...when its what a person is that really counts". Brad was many things to many people and I believe he gave much and asked for little. There is nothing I can say to relieve you of your pain, however, I do believe that Brad would want you each to be okay. I pray that you will find peace and comfort in the live he lived and the example he sat.

Brad, I never saw you without a smile on your face and a kind word, two important qualities in a man. You obviously loved your work and the law enforcement community is lessened with your passing.
As I read all the things your friends and family write, I can't help but think how fortunate you are to have so many people that love you so deeply. You lived well.....God Speed Brother.

I only had the pleasure of meeting you once and you have an awesome spark to you. Your a kind human being and a leader. As a husband, Police Officer, and a young father of two, my feelings go out to your wife, children, and loved ones. You will be missed, but shall live forever among us. Thank you.
