Bradley Alan Moody - Online Memorial Website

I didn't know Brad well, unfortunatley. From the few conversations we had I could easily tell that he was a good, kind person, dedicated family man and loved police work.

 

There is a small minority of people in this Country who are wiling to put their lives at risk, unconditionally, everday for humankind in exchange for mere gratification of their efforts, just to know they tried to make it a safer place for others... This is the ultimate example of esteemed character.

 

My Officers always spoke highly of Moody and his unselfish dedication to his career and family. This is a tremendous heartfelt loss for his boys, family and Richmond PD.

 

My sincere sympathies and condolences to you all.    

TO the Moody family i worked with Brad and noticed that he was a dedicated hard working Officer, he was a good man who loved his family and his work. there wasnt a day that i didnt see a smile on his face. he will truely be missed.

To all those who call Brad beloved or friend and to the Richmond PD:

 

Our family sends its sincerest condolences on the grievous loss you have suffered. When my son was murdered in the line of duty as a Pittsburg police offiicer, the entire law enforcement community in the Bay Area embraced and suopported our family in a circle of love, and I know you will recieve the same support.  It makes the unbearable less torturous.

 

I also honor Brad's final gift of life by his being an organ doner.  He  left such a wonderful legacy by his life and the impact he had on others; even in death, he continued to give.  May his memory continue to inspire and may his spirit continue to soar.

 

With the deepest respect for the service Brad gave to his community, and for the supreme sacrifice he and his family made on October 7,2008.

My heart goes out to you guys.  I started my career as a Richmond Police Aide and was an officer from 1979 through 1984 when I transferred to Fairfield.  Richmond is family and we cry as family.  Just ask God to walk with you through this time.  He is with you.  If you need anything please feel free to have Sgt. My deepest sympathy to Brad's family, friends and co-workers. I never had the pleasure of meeting Brad but i can tell from the articles and postings that he was a perfect example of those who choose to serve. As a retired sergeant from the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department I know how hard Brad was trying to help his fellow officers on his last call. As a canine handler and supervisor I know the extra dedication of canine handlers. They take on extra training, want to go to every call and are usually the first one in the door on the in progress calls. I can tell from the pictures that Brad was a proud member of this special fraternity. Brad-Rest in Peace.

My thoughts and prayers go out this evening to the Moody family and the entire Richmond Police Department.  I have been a LEO for 14 years now and each and every time I hear of stories like this it still brings a tear to my eye because another honorable warrior has gone home to his father.

I am deeply sorry for your loss, and my condolences go out to you. Brad was the greatest guy anyone could have ever known, and he was such an awesome dad, as well as a friend! I can remember Brad all the way back from Golden West and Vanden, he was quite the heart breaker, always made everyone smile :) My deepest sympathies and prayers all go out to the entire Moody family..

Brad, you will forever be missed, and we will never forget you...a fallen hero, a sincere friend, perfect son, and world's greatest dad! You will always remain in my heart, and I will never forget you! Rest In Peace Brad..God Bless!

I spent my childhood growing up in Richmond and always knew subconsciously that seeing RPD Officers serve the community made me want serve as they do when I grew up.  RPD puts out some of the most diverse, highly trained and professional Officers I have ever met and I strive to excel led by their example.  Officer Moody is the definition of what an Officer should be and will be sorely missed by all his brothers and sisters in blue.  On behalf of the Broadmoor Police Department and our community, we salute you.  RIP brother, we’ll take it from here.
